We are fundamentally committed to providing quality care.
We aim to include all children regardless of level or type of abilities within our programs and services. We believe that all children’s needs are unique, and, in partnership with families, we are committed to meeting the developmental /educational needs of all the children, including children with special rights, at any given time.
There are 4 conditions that children naturally seek for themselves so they can flourish and grow. The high quality program visions foster these ways of being in the world.
We want children to experience these foundations for learning every day as they apply to all children regardless of age, ability, culture, language, geography, or setting.
- Belonging –all children and adults want to be connected to others, feel valued and form relationships with others in part of a group, a community, the natural world
- Well-being-the capacity for self-care, a sense of self and self-regulation skills addresses the importance of physical and mental health and wellness
- Engagement-all children should be involved and focused as they explore their world around them with natural curiosity and exuberance which fosters inquiry by problem-solving, creative thinking and innovation, maximizing children’s optimal development across all learning domains
- Expression-complex interactive communication occurs through exploring materials which supports creativity, problem-solving and mathematical behaviours. Verbal communications are enhanced through language-rich opportunities which are the foundation for literacy. Creative movement is an interpretive communication skill that uses one’s body language to express emotion and character. There are over 100 languages that children use to communicate; we need only to listen, respond and understand.
We realize our commitment through:
- Qualified, professional staff
- High quality, consistent care
- Safe, secure, clean and healthy environment
- Respect for individuals and their needs
- Emphasis on self-regulation, co-operation, independence and flexibility
- Providing stimulating, creative learning experiences
- Providing additional external resources for children with special rights and opportunities for further assessments
